Space teleskope for private use

The most awesome kickstarter ever!

The asteroid mining company Planetary Resources is going to put up a swarm of space telescopes. Ten years ago satellites like these would have cost hundreds of millions of dollars. They can do it for just one.

This puts it within range for schools and private people to use a space telescope. Therefore they have just launched a kickstarter campaign to make this general access possible. One million dollars will launch a telescope, if the demand is higher more will be made and launched.

I think the message it sends is the most important: Prices are coming down. Space is becoming accessible. Our civilization is beginning its move off the planet. It is not science fiction, it is happening, and it is happening in our time.

To be or no to be... a critical person.

Sorry but, this sounds like a voluntary "tax".  Aren't they all?

Anyway, we have to overpay any advances coming from these programs, it is only fair that whoever is gaining from these advances to go ahead and finance the endeavor.
