is this version the same as steams?

is the version of universe sanbox you can download on here the same version of steam? is one more updated that the other?

alright becuase there is a universe sandbox 2. steam doesnt specify if its 1 or 2. Thanks

The Steam version is also version 2.

Steam has achievements and requires that you are running Steam (a light form of DRM (Digital Rights Management)), the standalone version does not have DRM or achievements.

Otherwise... they are identical.
