Creating Gamma Ray Bursts
« on: October 29, 2012, 04:47:59 PM »
Hi all,

I am currently trying to use Universe Sandbox as a tool to demonstrate Gamma Ray bursts for an Astronomy tutorial. I see in the simulations menu that there is (under standard simulations) a gamma ray burst simulation, but when I run the simulation nothing happens. Any help or guidance on this would be much appreciated!

You've installed or had installed an old version (v1.x). When I updated to v2, that simulation stopped working and I never got around to fixing it.

It wasn't a simulation of a gamma ray burst, but simply the location of gamma ray bursts relative to our galaxy over a single year.

Gamma Ray bursts are something we're talking about for the new version, but there's no firm plans yet.

Thanks Dan! Amazing game by the way, and plans on ever porting to iOS?
