I've tryed everything to play that on Steam

But i still cant play.
I installed non-steam version from the site and get a 'You need .NET Framework v4.0 to play' or thing like that, but i have this installed at my pc.
I think i cant play because i cant install windows 7 sp1, for some reason i dont know...
Someone can help me?when i try to instal sp1 it says something about updating my windows, but i cant update it further..someone help me, please..
is there a way to install sp1 without it checking if your windows is up-to-date?
im thinking that after i install SP1 my USB will understand that i have the .net 4 installed and will let me play

do you use windows 7 auto update? if not why not?

Updating windows is a good idea and should be a totally safe thing to do.
