Can we have better/custom height(map)s and continents?

The current state planet terraforming is in bothers me. All those tiny bits of land would wear away/get flooded easily. It is very hard to get proper continents and only a few of the base solar system planets even have proper continents and heightmaps, such as Mars and Earth. Can we please get the ability to custom-level lands, create continents etc? I cannot stand having millions of tiny islands dotting the ocean and then a continent with random lakes and islands in the middle.

Don't forget about historical Earth continent configurations. I want to see the climate at least of dinosaurs era

Well right now planet generation is still rather undeveloped. They'll probably update it in a later update.
