Some questions about date system in US Alpha
« on: March 16, 2015, 09:31:52 AM »
Hello !

Some questions:

- Is there any way to set the date and time of a simulation manually (directly in json file or in the software)?
- I can run a reatroativamente simulation?
- When running a simulation until a certain date, the position of the planets will be in accordance with the projection made by JPL Horizons, for example ?

Thanks in advance ! :)

This was discussed here

Here is how to set the date and time

Alpha 12 Added YEAR-MONTH-DAY date to Solar System-based simulations and Encounters
You can find the date in the lower left corner

To set the starting date use Create → Encounters

For example start at Home → Create → Encounters → BH m=1 sun on Plane → edit (click on pen) → set the Date → turn Off Include Rogue Body → change Rate to .000000772 → Create

Now you have the Solar System running in real time.

Also even though the Date field doesn't show the time, it can be added.
