Novarion Simulations
« on: August 10, 2013, 06:41:45 PM »
Hi all this is the thread where I will dump my sims and textures for your enjoyment! The textures are quite large so i will upload the textures and sims to a mirror and link it here.

Please put the sim in the Simulations folder in Documents/Universe Sandbox and the texture files in the Media folder.

Download as sims and textures here: https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=212932E8E8FD1A9F!155

Zeta Rugeh:
Red Dwarf star system with three planets (barren, tundra, and 'neptunian' iceball) and two asteroid belts.

I currently output planet textures at 4k. Do people want smaller ones at 2k or 1k? Next system:

Fafitamus: A class blue dwarf with four planets; two barren, one hot gas giant, and a jovian terrestrial. The gas giant has tons of moons, at least 5 are habitable ranging from tropical shrubland to desert worlds. New gas giant texture. Everything should be stable. If it isn't it means either my data was wrong or I input something wrong.

Also! Please post system and planet types you would like to see. :)

It would be better if you upload your sim directly into the forum. That link has so many download buttons I don't even know where to start from.

And apparently the link is broken too:

Works for me. .-. The package is too big to put on the forum.

Edit: moving to different server. fixed Zeta Rugeh link.

This should work. Unless people don't like mediafire and then I am open to suggestions. o.o

Since ur open to suggestion I'll suggest. Open a skydrive like I did.

Space will not be  a problem after that. ;-)

Done! Linked and uploading. I'll fix the file pathing for future zip packs. What system should be my next project? :P

Cool!

Nice system. I like the textures!!

But I don't like the way US2 build rings/dust. The particles are way to colorful and way to big. So I like to manipulate that dust.xml file. I edited your system, take a look. ;-)

Dunno if you know this, but.. ubox files are nothing more than zip files. You can right click it, open with... and chose winzip or winrar. Inside you'll find the xml files of the project. You can edit them, put them back in the zip (ubox) and bam!

Oh a tip: Overtime your big ring will distort. Thats because the turning Z axis of the star are not the same with the ring. So when the star turn on it's own axis will exert different gravity in different parts of the ring. In other words, the plain of the disk is not aligned with the gravity plain of the star.

About the next, why don't you try to make a galaxy's center black whole, with a few starts orbiting it at uber high speeds. Like the one we have at the center of the milkyway.

Done. tons of stars flying around from 0.001 the speed of light to 0.19 xD Have fun! Launch more stars for more chaos!

Yes! Finally done with Kalisu, a binary F-M system with two habitable worlds, and FOUR gas giant systems. All planets and moons are uniquely textured. Go and DL it and have fun!  ;D
