The ISS logo could do with a resize.  I'll do it later.  Anyway, contributing.   :)

FiaOwl's Planet texture

No need to be so abusive!

"[And who] is to call any male female, thou's head shall be chopped off by [a very blunt] axe, for the DORL has not to be a female, for the DORL must always be addressed in a male name while in male form, for the DORL must never change genders unwillingly, for the DORL is the greatest of DORLS."

Here are my textures. If you dont like them you can edit in photoshop or gimp or paint whatever.
one is an icy moon with a subsurfaace ocean a europa like moon
Another is an earthlike planet but its more green since its older and more plants can grow
another is a gas giant that has a hurricane like storm at its north pole
And the fourth is a ice giant like uranus or neptune.

Hope you enjoy them  :D

The ice and the last one don't appear to be.

Nice textures.

Why does it matter?

o__o

Why? WHY? WHY?!?!?!?! I don't use textures with ugly lines going down a side.

My trial version of fractal terrains may have expired, but it still works, mostly. I have a .png file (or a couple of them), but I'm not sure how I'm going to turn that into a texture. I may need something else for more barren planets, as fractal terrains does not understand the term 'uninhabitable'. Also something for gas giants. And I'd prefer it to not be completely random; I do have defined parameters for all of the planets involved.

Here's the pngs.
Here's a planet of five earth masses, habitable, the areas that look like desert are actually deciduous and/or tropical rainforest, don't ask me why it colored them like that.  One of them is actually a desert, but it's not anywhere near water, so it's mostly distinguishable from the rest.

The second is said planet's moon, which is about the size of mars. It's a bit colder than its primary, but is still habitable in several areas (the places that look like desert on this one vary between alpine forest and temperate forest, and the green is tundra. Hell, green is probably tundra on the primary too.)

Though it's not going to matter for the upcoming Universe Sandbox v3 given what I saw in the demonstration video, I made this free seamless star texture from SDO data a while back, but you'll have to sign up to their website to download it. Should look loads better than the default star texture in US v2.
