Planet Textures
« on: October 01, 2011, 02:12:39 PM »
I had some planet textures created and I thought I'd post them since there doesn't seem to be many out there, at least not of living worlds, especially ones with different color foliage. I'm not sure who made the cloud overlays and neither was the guy I got them from. Use these planets in anything except a science fiction novel. You'll have to at least change the name of the first two for that cause I'm already writing a scifi.

I'll try to post more later. Maybe next time I'll have a gas giant or two. PM me and I'll send you a tutorial on how to do this yourself.

Najs textures. Maybe I could have them become galaxies and eat them? Those oceans/lakes are a bit odd, though.

The oceans on the red moon were random.
The oceans on Mars were based on the darker areas which appeared to be lower than the others and the fact that if a lot of water all at was placed on Mars, all the land would be washed on the sea. No plate tectonics creates as many problems as it solves. ;)

cool, but why is all the landmass at the bottom? and are those ice caps only at the southern end of mars?

Because mars's northern hemisphere is like flattened and the north polar ice cap melted.

Which website did that image come from? I can't remember and I'm trying to find it.
