A quick overview: Imagine spore, without a creature editor but with true evolution like what was promised really early in it's development (plantation of lies).

I got an error when I forgot to install the redistributable. It just crashes now.

Hey guys, version 0.5.0 is out, which has a whole bunch new features and is a big improvement. :D

As expected for an alpha, it's buggy, so if you guys have any crash problems, post about it on the Species ALRE forums.

no i'm pretty sure the physics engine is working.

also a simulator/game someone makes doesn't entitle you assault them if you don't like it.

Deary me, the program is an example of how natural selection works. There are constraints, and the sim starts with simple slug things to demonstrate how mutations over time effect a population of creatures.
Certainly the sim doesn't adhere to physics, but it's more a showcase of the basics of evolution, rather than making the simulation more complex than it should be with big walking things stumbling all over the place.

That video was hilarious.  It's a joke, right?  Supposed Evolutionary principles = crawling phallus-oids and floating sides of beef along with other creatures that can't possibly walk without defying the laws of physics.

Giant Army should hunt these buffoons down and beat the crap out of them for staining their industry.

It's an alpha for a reason, the 'slabs of beef' are caused by a bug, the slug thingies are well, you know, slug things. lol

Physics will be implemented eventually, Quasar (the dev) is well aware that the needle thin limbs defy physics.
