I think it's just a cloud layer bug, just give it a while for the devs to work on.

No cloud layer, since it shows on planets without atmosphere and with both, atmosphere and clouds turned off.

@Physics_Hacker: Well the universe has some very large flyswatters to offer. Anything the size of UY Scuti should suffice. (it should even work on ice actually)  8)
