Atmospheres Create Purple Sunset
« on: August 12, 2014, 01:06:44 AM »
I couldn't tell if it was a bug or not, but once I added an atmosphere to a planet and it had a purple sunset region even though the sky's color was blue.

I thought it was just some exclusive thing for that planet, but I just spawned an Earth and it seems all blue skies have a purple sunset.

Can you post a screenshot of the effect you're seeing? I think this is one of those cases where a picture is worth a thousand words.

Thanks!

I was browsing through Random Planets to find something, and I got this guy:

Although it seems that this planet's atmosphere IS purple and it's only blue because of the angle I am at.
But the planet's sunset is the same color as Earth's sunset, so I guess this image is valid enough.
