Title: Vague Venus with my NEX-5
Post by: matty406 on April 30, 2011, 07:41:52 AM
A while ago, we went off in the caravan to a field (A popular British past-time. ;) ). Because it was far from a big town or city you could get a pretty cool view of the cosmos and - faintly - the Milky Way (Something I've been wanting to see all my life).
BUT anyway, I decided to photograph what I deduced to be Venus, by notching up the exposure just to see if it would work. It came out alright, you can see the light and dark sides.

Just felt like sharing, I thought it was pretty cool. the Milky Way isn't visible in this because I took his a bit earlier.

I really need a better camera. Current one is just a cheap digital one, only about 10 seconds of maximum exposure...

Thankfully there isn't much issue with light pollution around here though (mid-michigan, United states)
