Title: Count to a currency
Post by: Darvince on October 20, 2015, 08:08:18 PM
This is actually an auxiliary thread for Count to a million, not some dumb counting thread. Basically we earn money for grabbing important numbers. Unnotable numbers, like 13293, are worth nothing. We decide on the worth of other numbers. Some important numbers that are currently coming up are:
13531 - palindrome
13579 - increasing by 2
13610 - first four triangular numbers

Most prime numbers are worth one point, as well as most happy numbers. If you get two consecutive primes, it doubles the points you get for each prime. If you get a series of primes in which all four numbers of the form xxxx1 xxxx3 xxxx7 xxxx9 are prime, then you get 100 points. Palindromes are worth 11 points, for the first palindrome.

Upcoming primes*:

24742 - number of signed trees with 10 nodes, after that we'll only ever see this sequence again 2 times, 13 nodes gives >2 million signed trees

what about investing in different topics of the forum

and you are rewarded with dividends every time that topic gains a new page
Title: Re: Count to a currency
Post by: atomic7732 on October 20, 2015, 10:34:20 PM
that's kind of fundamentally flawed because topics aren't (generally) going to decrease in size
Title: Re: Count to a currency
Post by: Darvince on October 20, 2015, 10:40:17 PM
but they can go inactive and you will not get any dividends from them

but you can't lose money there's no risk
Title: Re: Count to a currency

ok then we'll make dividende topics and have it be per post instead of per page
Title: Re: Count to a currency

idk we could do something about it like maybe calculating a base rate and if it's lower than that you lose investments, or maybe requiring a constant amount of investment to continually get returns.

3, 7, 31, 127, 8191, 131071, 524287

are all mersenne primes below 1000000 and should be worth lots of pts btw

maybe like the value of the exponent (or sth idk), so
2 3 5 7 13 17 19

the ones so far have all be claimed by different people kol

3 skirt
7 kal
31 deo
127 fiah
8191 dar
