tbf desertopia 2.0 is very great, definitely quickly approaching the top build on the server (if not already there)

what you need to do is deconstruct the ground and build it as if the roof is a floating city

Here are some cropping plans for 1.13. Please approve or suggest changes asap.

The cropping is planned to proceed along the red border.
In the first stage, the area within the orange border will not be cropped away.
The area within the cyan borders are planned to be moved.

1: Touhou will be moved slightly so more ocean can be cropped
2: This thing will be moved to a new area with similar terrain so the area can be cropped.
3: This ice farm can be moved above another snowy area in Guodesia (or elsewhere if preferred).
4, 5: These bases can be moved to the water near Soviet Japan.
6: Smokey's perimeter is far from finished and since he's not returning, I suggest we crop out the area.
7: Trenchland isn't very developed, but this whole area is a bit of mess if it gets cropped around Trenchland developments. Let's first crop to the orange border and after some more land generates, let's see if it can be moved to somewhere else and we can crop all the way to the red border.
8: Zaelyr and KÃ¥laug Kareng are also very detached from the rest of the world, and cropping them could leave strips of chunky borders all the way between Smjjames' area and the two remote places. Here I also suggest we start by cropping to the orange border and then look for areas where we can move the cyan areas to, so we later can crop to the red border.

luckily,,__ there are no land biome generation changes in 1.13 and biomes on land will stay in the same place, only ocean biomes have changed hence,,__

well it's hard to move the witch farm [2], and the slime farm [5] because that'll screw up the spawns. the witch hut can probably be fixed by manually editing the structures file, but slime chunks are hardcoded in.

also you did kind of a small box around each of these farms [2,4,5] but it would be necessary to crop roughly a 20 x 20 chunk area around each farm, since that's how far the perimeter necessarily extends.

also in that case i'd kind of want to put those farms in a region, to avoid other people building near them / messing up the perimeter -- which is not a concern when they're so far away right now

there's also a huge sand quarry region to the left of smokey's region which i use regularly, with like hundreds of chests of who knows what in it -- i mean i guess we could crop that area too, seems a bit weird to regenerate a massive sand/sandstone mine

also the ice spikes region to the left, below [4, 5] is one i regularly mine from -- i even have a base, which you can kind of pick out -- it's in the middle of that weird snowless backwards L

Gonna go to sleep and hopefully finish cropping tomorrow.
Since chunk borders don't appear to be an issue I will make the crop tighter and avoid moving the areas, but crop around them instead.
Let me know if there's more areas you're afraid of being cropped.
