Purchasing Universe Sandbox 2 On Steam Is better.

Hey iv seen a lot of videos to motivate me to buy this game now, i even tried it on my friend's PC.

Since i am 100% sure i will buy it, why not add it to steam with the early access and all that cool stuff, it's way better and i think its easier

Probably early 2015 for the steam alpha release, i think i heard this as an estimation from one of the devs once,  but i'm not sure if i'm correct or not :3

tell me about it,

well around 2 years ago or so i bought a dehumidifer from amazon for around 200 usd it got here damaged on delivery so i called amazon they sent me a new one out i sent the old one back

they where nice enough to also refund me the 200 dollars "effecitvly i ended up getting the dehumidifer for free" for my trouble there the only company i know of that does that for there customers

Good news, my friend's laptop will be soon in my hands ( MUAHAHAHA ) he is studying hard, so explains why he does not need any attractions, so in the meantime i can play universe sandbox 2 there, its a small laptop, but meh, atleast i get to play it for a while and test stuff,

Anyway purchasing the alpha puts it on steam also gives you the free final release.

I guess there isn't anything wrong with waiting for it to come on Steam, but even though you have to buy it over their website, a Steam code is sent to you in an email. You just redeem it like any other code and you're ready to play. The game will go in you Steam library like any other game on the store.

And, you don't need an account for PayPal (unless it has changed since the last time I used it), you can just pay as a guest. I think it is similar for Amazon, not quite sure though.

Also, the game will update the same way whether you buy it now or over the Steam store.

Correct. When you buy now you activate it via Steam (and you download and update via Steam). What you can buy now is the same thing you'll eventually be able to buy via Steam so there's no reason to wait.

Humble bundle redirects you to steams website. Then you log in to your steam account and it is put onto your steam library.

I have a question, if you already have universe sandbox 1, do u need to buy universe sandbox 2? or will the first version just update?

US2 is a completely different game, so you have to buy it regardless if you own US1 or not.

Valve takes a hefty chunk of the payment on Steam- I think it was something like 30%? I bought US2 before it hit steam in the hopes that the developers could have more net profit instead. The more money the developers get, the more features they can implement in the simulator, and the better program it will be.

Our reasons for holding off on releasing on Steam is not because they may take a larger chunk, but because it's not yet ready for mass consumption, but is good enough for those that can't wait any longer.
