"Reset Surface Terrain" option
« on: November 23, 2019, 03:47:50 AM »
Quick suggestion. It would be nice to have a "reset surface terrain" option that simply updates a planet's surface features to one of the default layouts without altering any settings. This is good for keeping planets up-to-date through the various updates the game receives.

This is almost entirely for the visual aspect.

Developers did not add such a feature. The purpose of surface grids is to have custom surface textures.

Is there a way to edit the surfaces? Right now, since my saves are from before the update, the planet textures have an annoying vertical line where landmasses are divided in a weird way.

No good. Just boils off a bunch of material and leaves the same bothersome line.

I reset/change my surfaces terrain adding lots of hydrogen till it becomes a mini gas, and then I delete all the hydrogen amount to 0 %, and there it is, another surface appeared lol.

We will need custom surface textures at some point, hopefully this year.
