Hey Bla, no idea how these two got turned off (it was like that when I hit it), but how do you get them to turn on and stay on without having a redstone torch there?

I'm going to just move the torch over and stick a redstone torch there.

I'll fix it. The redstone torches used to work with two rails but got changed, so now I have to place them below the rails.

Fiah, did you take any tools, iron, minecarts, smoothstone and/or glass? If so, how much?

Remember if you need significant amounts of something, it's a good idea to talk to the one who manages the region with a public storage before taking a lot of stuff. Maybe just write a post in this topic saying "I take 5 stacks of stone and 5 stacks of glass from Spawntown, I need it for a building" if whoever isn't online. I had smelted many stacks of glass and stone two days ago, and all the stone and most of the glass has been taken now. That's ok, if you need it, but when you take so much without saying anything, it seems a bit like a sneaky, egoistic way to snatch stuff and hope nobody finds out.

(In response to something Bla asked ingame)

I did take one iron bar for a flint and steel striker, but I didn't take anything else that you asked about (I did take a stack of netherrack for something I'm planning, but, thats not an issue).

I enjoy gathering resources, not just building. And I enjoy building much more when I've worked to gather the resources.

Can anybody give opinions on the jaguar ears in the screenshot I posted on the previous page? I'm not quite liking them and they somehow look somewhat like pikachu ears and I'm not sure how to make them look better.

Hey Fiah, I know you said about exploring down to the southeast, but since 1.3 is coming out in five days and the bukkit version should be out at the same time or within hours of release, maybe hold off on exploring until Bla has a chance to update and do some cropping if he does any (SAVE THE MUSHROOM ISLANDS THIS TIME BLA!). That way, the new stuff in 1.3 will have a chance to generate in the unexplored areas.

Of course though, we'd have to wait for the plugins to update, but I'm just saying that since the 1.3 release is so close, hold off on exploring so that the new stuff will appear.

Yes, exploring is mostly pointless this close to the next update. I think I'll make a world map soon where I draw the areas I plan to preserve, so people can see if they think it's okay.

Actually, I just made my own proposal with my ideas (which are probably more or less the same as yours anyway), but go ahead and post yours.

Its more or less self explainatory. Decide where to move the mushroom islands (move Quontex's into his territory?), keep that continent to the south, probably remove the ocean, maybe remove that frozen tundra area to the east unless Fiah still wants that. Chances are that the biome rearrangement will make it something else.

I'm in favor of cropping part of the ocean so that there is at least some land to the west.

Yeah, that village is a ghost town now anyway. Why crop that land area to the south of Kaeshar? I think its fine. Then again, maybe something interesting will generate.

Wow, those are some leninent proposals. This would be mine.

I don't see why we should preserve the southern continent. Did anyone build on it? Otherwise no. You realize that you'll have that coastline and some completely different terrain southeast of it? It could be ocean. The next update might not even decide to make a continent there, so it's useless. New terrain would be better imo. There will be new continents in other places.

However, I really do like how the last update made the coastline on this spawn-continent's western edge. I'd like to preserve that and have a watery area to the west of it. I'm planning to move Quontex's mushroom island and the Quontinent to the area west of Quonbla. Idk how much of the Quontinent he wants to preserve.

The other mushroom islands to the south are close to each other, so I think I'll just move their whole ocean segment near Kaeshar/Revolutea peninsulas. It'd be nice if someone would go explore the unexplored part in the middle of them plus a small area around them so we can avoid having a random, chunky cliff or something in the middle and so we can have more ocean around them if necessary.

I'd like to remove the village west of Rossjungles and the area, but Roscuro should definitely approve it first. I'll just make a new road if he approves.

Yeah, as I said, that village is now a ghost town.

Anyways, lenient? Heh, I was just making some suggestions

"I don't see why we should preserve the southern continent. Did anyone build on it? Otherwise no. You realize that you'll have that coastline and some completely different terrain southeast of it? You have a good point there.

I'll go and knock that unexplored bit in the middle out of there as I'm the one who explored the area. Since its straight north of that southernmost mushroom island, should be easy to eliminate.

Also, if the mushroom islands somehow lose their mushroom island biome, could you use MCedit to put it back? Because if they lose the biome, it might screw them up.

Edit: How come you're saving that chunk that is way to the northwest?

Smj, Quontex built on that peninsula.

Darvince, no, we're not going to start over. If you want to start over, you're welcome to store your items in Spawntown and go 500m in any direction where we haven't built. :)

And too much work to MCedit everything and transplant them into a new world. Plus, you have the area west of Auspikitan, why not develop that?

But why even transplant everything into a new world? It'd be exactly like cropping the outer parts of the current world. :|
