sharing technology and research should be possible, say a "nation A" has to pay this much resources to send "X" scientists who will teach a certain percentage or amount of "nation A"'s technology to a "nation B"."nation B" must have less technology. idk, just don't make it be too easy to share tech, but at the same time, it'll promote working together/teamwork to be effecientized

Mudkipz: I think I'll wait until game 6 with this. Trading already gives benefits for teamworking, especially for the weakest nation.

Deoxy: It's not really hard, you just set a % of your resources to spend on tech each 5 turns, and then it gets spent automatically each turn. And you can see on one single table on page 11 in the manual how much tech all the things require before they can be built.

They shouldn't temp. reduce production, as it would become too hard to manage.
As for wiping out a level of any infrastructure in neighbor zones, that's a good idea. But maybe the cost should be increased, then. I'm not sure.

Trading benefits the weakest nation the most, because:
Assume nation 1 has a prod of 500 and nation 2 a prod of 100. They trade.
Nation 1 gets 100/10 = 10 from trade each turn. Nation 2 gets 500/10 = 50 from trade each turn.

Five~~-Year~~-Turn Plans and Technology
During the turn you join the game and every turn which is a multiple of 5 (5, 10, 15, 20â€¦),
you can set how many resources you want to spend on technology each turn for the next five
turns, a whole number from 5 to 25%.
What happens next is that the number of available resources is multiplied by the percentage
you chose, and the resulting number is rounded up to the next whole number, which is the
amount of technology you get that turn. And then you have that amount less of available
resources to spend on other things

it is advantage to take minimal tech in beginning. production goes up fast as with more tech. although no develop good cities, less creditrs spent on tech= more on development. When your production is up, invest 20-25% in tech. high economy mean tech incerase quickly and u can develop high level cities

so liek the game favors developing tech later on slightly. i think.
