Hi,im new to the topic and i was asking:If when asteroids collide with rocky planets lava is formed,what will happen with gaseous planets?

It would basically form a hole in the cloud layer and heat up some of the liquid gas on the planet's "surface", thus creating a small flash. I don't think anything needs to be done about asteroid-Jovian Planet collisions, since this is basically what happens in US2 now.
That asteroid will most likely leave a mark on the gas planet, similar to the Shoemaker-Levy impact on Jupiter.But I'm not sure if Dan's working on that. He's probably doing so, since it may just include simple coding (For the impact mark)
