I like making the whole region large city tiles. It just makes it easier to deal with.

True, even though it's also good to have many cities to connect it to. I think this could be a good plan rather than making all of them large squares, then every city has 6 instead of 4 neighboring cities:

I have got SimCity 3000 on my old PC - WITH the Building Architect add-on.   

You cain't get SimCity 3000 no more 
Aand the Building Architect was an add-on, which you cannot Download no more 

You can only Run SimCity3000 on Windows '98 or '95 - so that is why it is on my Old P.C., running in Windows '98.
I also have all of the Cheat Codes for that as well.
Lets you build Everything for Free, all types of Powerplants, all types of Waste Disposal, all types of Water Plants.
A Free $100,000 from a "money laundering" - and all kinds of extra goodies.

I have played it A LOT - and saved Lots of Cities from it.

Heh, I was playing Sc4 today. I have three towns forming a triangle near eachother, and one has a population over 20,000 people... It's a fun game. :)

This only includes uploads on the CSXLEX since they have a convenient search for it, Simtropolis has hundreds more, and I know SimPEG has dozens as well. I didn't include water mods either. :P

SimCity 2013 comes out in 2 days.

Anyone getting it?

I think it might be Origin only, so I'm not getting it. If EA for some reason releases it on Steam, then I might consider buying it.

you require a constant internet connection to play though. I'm sure they've thought of a marvellous way to detect if a game's connection is the same as another.

Well, Spore didn't demand a constant connection; Spore needed a connection for content but otherwise you could play normally offline. Simcity, on the other hand, will absolutely need you to stay connected to their servers in order to play whatsoever.

What, you can't play offline?

Not sure if I'm going to buy it. It seems so over-hyped in their propaganda videos ofc, but I'm not impressed, the cities just seem too small compared to SimCity 4, the regions layout I don't like, the cities should be next to each other and with no enforced limit on region size like SimCity 4 so you can make something like a "true" megacity instead of just a bunch of skyscrapers with maybe 200,000 people but surrounded by farms. And I hate Origin. I hate Impulse. But only because I happen to have most games on Steam. I hate all these stupid, different game platforms trying to compete and forcing us to have 100 programs running in the background all with the exact same purpose, just made by competing corporations, just because we want to play games.
