Bong's connection problem trobleshooting:

Restart Minecraft
Check IP
Check username and password
Make sure you gave Bla the EXACT username

It's shown by using the F3+H keys. No idea how long it existed.

Do you have any mods installed? or at least, is it a vanilla client and up to date?

Do you have the latest java? No idea if that will help, but can't hurt.

Are you trying to use hamachi? Because it's not needed.

Also, whats the name that you use to log into MC? I think that's the one Bla uses for the whitelist, so if it's different than what you said such as capitalization.....

Looks like that's the problem and you'll have to use Hamachi, only thing is that Bla would also have to have Hamachi up to do it.

Unless Bla has any other ideas on how to do it.

That's because it's a file that the server admin has.

Still, that's just something I grabbed off of a google search, I don't know how to solve the problem here.

the properties.txt is on the server side (with Bla)

The book mechanic really is slightly overpowered. If you have the patience to enchant tons and tons of books at least. 48 books in I finally got looting 3 (still no silk touch), so I decided to see the cost to add it to my sword.

It would probably be unrepairable at this point though.
