I use the free version of SketchUp 8. Did you buy 8 pro or is it a trial?

Update. The uploader appears to be full, but I think it has something to do with the proxy server I'm using.

Editing. Done.
Is the pool I put in okay? As in not counting it as a building, just a decoration?

You're allowed to expand your territory so that the land with your color is 50.000 + buildings ^ 1,5 square meters. You can measure this by control-clicking on the surfaces with your land color, right clicking them and select entity info.

Update.

Do you want to draw it yourself? You're allowed to do that, as long as your free land doesn't violate the formula when you upload your turn.

Btw, I think I'll edit a little bit... Editing!

I don't know, is there a function that shows you the area of a shape as you draw it?

No, but you can just draw a bigger area and then delete some of it if it's too big. That's what I do, at least.
Update. My first factory, it will process the products of my agriculture. We need more industry, though, SuperNova, if you want to build some.
And two collective farming villages. ;D

Btw, I just reached about 90 buildings, so I've expanded my city hall. Soon, I may build 9 meter tall buildings, yay!

Currently, my city is a mix or primarily flats and shops, the large teal building is a hotel. :)

And my laptop's power cable is losing connection. Bad times.

It is okay to hide edges and enable shadows for screenshots, but I think it's best to show edges and have the shadows disabled when the file is saved.
