I don't remember what it's called, but he's using a 3rd party program for that.

Another thing worth noticing is that there is dirt without grass on it. Either the new redwood forest grass type doesn't spread, or there will be dirt that can never get grass on it. Or it just generates that way and the new grass type slowly spreads to it.

More info about this from a reddit post by Jeb:

"There's also a "no grass" dirt block looking like normal dirt, but it's not obtainable without using /give (using data value 1)." Maybe something they might change to allow silk touch on it. Podzol (the unique grass block in the redwood biome) is confirmed to work like mycelium.

Fishing has also been reworked to be much more fun, apparently. :P

I think the Podzol block looks ugly, honestly.

That's alpine biome isn't it? though with more soil. Or maybe a modified alpine to make it more of a general mountain biome. Seems like Mojang is porting the Biomes XL mod into vanilla mc. There is the vanilla version of the red badlands (which needs some proper texturing) and the redwood forest.

Anybody else feel like we should transplant all our structures to a new world? The biome changes are so big, but any new ones will be far from claimed lands. Or at least crop as close as possible to territorial edges since everything will change. Might have to sacrifice a few outlying structures.

I don't mind if my embassy thing by rocksolids (that was his name right?) place gets cropped, but what are we going to do about the fact that he has a structure there?

Also, we should either preserve one of the mushroom islands just in case or we harvest some mycelium from one.

1. just harvest it now because if we're not doing it now, we'd never do it
2. hmm generation transplant, that wouldn't work because
    A. how would we only transport the buildings?
        I. also the strip mines
    B. also, the buildings are on the ground and the ground has to be a correct level and if we regenerated it has little chance to be the same

but that's a good point

I am aware of the logistics and problems of transplanting buildings across world generations. If it were easy, it would have been done on blacraft already.

We'll have to do some close cropping of the map and maybe all the way to the territorial borders?  Plenty of time to discuss cropping the map for 1.7.0.

Worth noting about that cliff biome is that it's the first instance of snow falling at high y-levels in a development screenshot. It's not a strict "snow will fall above y=80 rule", it's "A strict rule like that looked horrible though, so there's some noise to the y-level.".

Wonder how this will be implemented, if it's just snow will fall on every block above a certain y-level or only in specific biomes.

More new stuff! Looking like a pretty big update.

Sunflowers. Always face east and require seeds to grow. No use yet, so far just aesthetic.

Instagram is dumb and have made it really difficult to hotlink images, so here is a picture of lavender flowers. Also notice the 2 block tall grass in the garden.

Really excited for the eventual first snapshot. :P

There also appears to be plans to make achievements and statistics based on worlds and servers rather than just overall.

hehe, yeah, even the tiny (in comparison to regular jungles) artificially designated jungle biome that I have is generating tons of them.

Exciting news.

More flowers...!

"I think the ingame name will simply be "Paeonia", because I don't plan to add any other paeonias. However, there are several kinds of tulips."
