It is not currently possible to change atmosphere colour, unfortunately. For a random planet, the atmosphere is always blue. For planets in our solar system, like Mars, for example, it has a designated atmosphere colour—red, but this cannot be changed manually.

Random planets can sometimes have a red or purple atmosphere, however you have to add like 750 planets to get a red atmosphere'd one, if not more, and probably a couple thousand to get purple.

Right. I've never seen a planet fitting such a description. Just goes to show how rare they are, I guess.

Maybe they changed it...I doubt it, but who knows...I just know that recently I was able to get red or even purple atmospheres with enough tries...
