Could there something for atmosphere color and thickness with Earth-like terrain and city lights? Also random cloud formations?

That's why here should be an option for city lights for the user to have and have control over the number of cities to be on the planet.

What I mean about terrain is forest, jungles, deserts and what not.

So I guess you meant biomes? I think that's currently a WIP feature the devs aren't working on atm, but don't take it from me.
