Possible for custom textures?

Is it Possible to have custom textures for planets and stars etc?

Even better is custom planetary heightfields. so the terraforming seen with Mars can happen on user created planets as well.

In Universe Sandbox 1 you could download pictures or just put pictures in a folder named 'Textures' or something and then while in the game there was some kind of setting to select them

Jeez, all this 'btw, remember in US1' reminds me how long ago that was.
