See through solar system objects?
« on: August 21, 2014, 01:11:57 PM »
I started with a default solar system and inserted a 10m solar mass black hole next to the sun.

The planets flew off in every direction, naturally, and when I zoomed in on them I noticed they were transparent. I could look towards the sun/black hole and see both through the planets. I could also see through the smaller solar system objects. The sun was the only one which remained non-transparent.

...is that supposed to happen?  :P

kinda but not completely. it looks kinda like you can only see a little but through pluto there, in mine you can see ~everything~ on the other side of it. later, I put down VY Canis Majoris and could see the entire star through it.
