You're changing the tilt of the planet. You're not changing the location of the poles on the planet, you're changing the angle the planet rotates relative to its star.

Yeah, it looks like they're talking about the poles melting them reforming elsewhere. I'm not sure if you can change the rotation axis, because pulling the pink axis in edit mode also pulls the planet around with it like a pin through a sphere.
Basically you can have one of the poles facing the sun and it stays.

I agree with Atomic.

And a simulation like this would not be accurate, since a change of the rotation axis would causing a redistribution of mass in Earth, it could lead to a True Polar Wander and I think it would be extremely difficult to model.

Wouldn't suddenly putting one of the poles facing the sun like that raise the albedo of the planet? If you think you've just put an ice cap from a place where it wasn't reflecting much sunlight into a place it's probably reflecting the maximum incoming sunlight. Surely that would cause a snowball earth rather than simply melt away.

Its just a question, I'm kind of wondering.
