Does or will Universe Sandbox 2 support PhysX from Nvdia GPU's for amazing little effects?

As much as that would be awesome, I don't think a simulator like this could use PhysX. As in, the way it's built, but you never know. PhysX would be cool during collisions. Increased particle effects, debris, and better looking explosions.

A good example of increased particle effects would be from Metro: Last Light. Something along those lines would make for some sweet looking visuals.

Universe Sandbox uses a custom physics library designed by Thomas, which uses OpenCL for gpu acceleration, and supports a wide variety of hardware configurations.

PhysX does not support double precision, nor does it have any support for n-body gravity simulation, additionally the gpu acceleration only works on Nvidia hardware.

In short, PhysX is great for situations like Metro last light, but it doesn't meet the needs of a project like this.
