« on: June 30, 2013, 06:02:34 AM »
Bla and other ppl that can speak in langs other than English, please post here expressions of any lang that doesn't make any sense in english :3

PT BR:

"'X' é da hora" == "'X' is of hour"
Means "'X' is cool", sorta of.

"'X' vale a pena" == "'X' worth the feather"
Means "'X' worth it".

Where 'X' is anything.
I will bring moar later =p

"O que não mata, engorda!" == "What doesn't kill, fattens!"

"Esse cara é gente fina" == "This guy is slim/thin people"

"Cada macaco no seu galho" == "Each monkey on its branch"

"Vou num pé e volto noutro" == "I'll go on a feet and come back on the other"

"Sou um pau pra toda obra" == "I'm a stick/wood for all the work"

"Quem cala, consente" == "Who shut up, consents"
