A new planet was detected by the TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) & was discovered by Wolf Cukier, a 17 year old high school NASA intern, who thought the dip in the data he pointed out was caused by a stellar eclipse before he noticed the timing was off, indicating a planet was blocking the light of the star system, which is a binary system consisting of 2 stars. 1 that's 20% more massive than our Sun & the other is 32.5% of its mass.
The radii of the stars and planet are unknown though they're analysed to orbit each other in 14.6 days & the planet's analysed to have nearly 6.9x Earth's radius & orbit the pair in 94 days.
The planet has been nicknamed Tatooine for orbiting 2 stars while it's likely a terrestrial planet.
