old supernova apperance?

Is there a way to enable it?

Sorry for the delayed response! No, there is no way to enable the old visual style of supernovae. I think there are some nice aspects of the old style, primarily how bright they are. But I also think there are many advantages of the newer visuals. Hopefully we can continue to improve on them and capture the best of both!
