aahrus is big because it starts out as a large nation initially with some fairly rich provinces and is also holy roman emperor which grants all sorts of fancy perks and benefits.
kallisto is big because i'm playing it so yeah. also if you look carefully the provinces in eastern europe where kallisto is are like 5 times larger than western european provinces
