I disagree, Aahrus is almost Aarhus, but not quite.

Seems a little overly bright green, IMO.

no I'm pretty sure 0 255 0 is green, 128 0 0 is not red and 0 0 128 is not blue.

No, the human eye is more sensitive to green and its opposite. So, 0 128 0 is green to the human eye but 0 255 0 is actually green.

I didn't mean to start an argument over the specifics of what RGB code is 'green', if you guys want to keep it that way because Bla used bright green in MW, then okay.

The order Paint.NET uses is RGB, as does Gimp.

Anybody know of a good noobs guide to the EU3 economy? Because despite Yqts advice, I still have no clue if I'm doing things correctly.

No, the human eye is more sensitive to green and its opposite. So, 0 128 0 is green to the human eye but 0 255 0 is actually green.
Funny how the only species on this planet that can make observations and name something 'green' is the only species that actually has a human eye. Green is an abstract concept we have nailed to the wavelength of light 520–570 nm. It actually means nothing more. It's like an altitude map where some numerical value is assigned a color so we can distinguish it, our eye and brain do the same thing. The way you see "green", literally, might be something I can't see as any color, no color I can even imagine. Describe green to me, qualitatively, you can't name something that is green, because that means nothing to anyone else, it doesn't describe the 'greenness' of 'green'. So I suppose green, in RGB, is y x y where x is all values and y is any value less than x, I suppose you could put any amount of light there, of course light's wavelength is linear and the RGB scale is not so some leeway in the difference of y's is allowed.

describing green without using the word green:

you glance out at the mid-springtime deciduous trees.
all the leaves are bursting with the color of springtime.
the brighter the hue, the earlier in spring.
the first hints of spring burst with tiny little leaves.
the summertime leaves are deep and dark, lush leaves.
in your right hand, you are holding a fresh, ripe, juicy lime.
in the opposite hand, you are holding a banana picked very early.

You are naming or implying things which remind me of or are the color green, but no one knows how green is actually perceived by anyone else, but through the experiences we have had with similar circumstances, we are reminded of what we have seen, which may not be what someone else has.

Yes it is all the same group of color, but that is likely because it is a similar group of photon wavelengths and combinations. Although we have cleverly thought up color schemes which have sharp switches in color for representing important data graphically (see Dvorak infrared imagery), but since when did anything natural have such high contrast? For example, put a parcel of air 800 hPa next to one that's 1100 hPa with no gradient. That doesn't happen. Nor does 988 next to 990.

If you can tell me another way to qualitatively describe color that'd be cool.

It doesn't matter anyway, there's likely no situation you won't be yourself and able to perceive colors in any other way, that's why we have RGB and HSL.
