this was moderately expensive

edit: two more pictures showing lamps which would turn off when the bonemeal or tnt is running low. obviously if you run the farm with no bonemeal nothing happens. if you run the farm without tnt, it'll break. for this reason, i built in a big margin into the tnt meter -- so if it's on, there's at least enough tnt 20 hours of wood farming.

ideally, although i haven't done it yet, it would be possible to set up some wiring so that if the tnt run out, then power is cut to the wood farm and it stops working.

1. the pretty small bonemeal storage of the tree farm. when it's full the farm will operate for about 10 hours (very rough estimate -- so within an order of magnitude of this value). which i guess is a safeguard against running out of tnt

2. the wood storage. i don't really like how the building looks so far, although i'm not sure how to fix it. currently i've only bothered to build 1 out of the 4 rows of chests. total capacity would be 1 million items

edit 3: revised storage area

How does that work? I've been out of the minecraft loop for so long now but it looks pretty interesting, something involving tnt and bonemeal?

bone meal grows tree, pistons push it into a blasting area, and tnt blasts the wood and it gets collected and sent to the chests

And Mockjet or whatever it's called is a bit better, but the elytra pad for YQT's provinces is very, very hard to land into and believe me, they're not building their best. They're building bad landing pads, bad elytra flight paths

it's a skill thing to keep filthy easterners out

installed comparators at storage so that it's easy to see which chests have items in them

each chest column holds 15104 items. the storage area has a total of 36 columns right now, but there is enough room to expand to 72 columns in the future.

Kol ok I haven't heard the term Inner Blacraft yet

Yeah sounds like it's only for fun to me

spawntown is central-centric
Kol that's true. It's only a town name though, so it's not imposing the central-centricness upon anything outside the center :P

a water stream -> 4 hoppers design which distributes items *evenly*

there's probably a better design out there, but i came up with this one after 10 minutes of toying around, and i think it's pretty ok

First proper perimeter on Blacraft almost complete

All the sprawling caverns are done, which account for a vast majority of nether spawns. I've done what I assume are most of the caves in the roof. I haven't slabbed more than one cave in the floor. Even without those caves, the latent mob count (E value in f3) doesn't exceed 6, generally stays around 4 (down from 35-40 for no slabbing). This isn't disastrous for future wither skeleton spawns but after all this work, it will be worth it to spot out some more caves to get it down to 1 or 2 at most. I will be building a 3 wither skeleton skull per minute farm, though since Blacraft isn't on hard difficulty (it definitely should be imo) I don't think we can actually achieve that even with a perfect perimeter. Rates will ideally be just above 2 per minute.

Thanks to syule, bong and fiah for their help. Also maybe Bla for the cobble if fiah raided some from there, I'm not aware of the sources used near the end. Thursday morning I was planning a dual witch farm and maybe completing it in February at best. Never thought that 36 hours later we'd have a full 128 sphere perimeter going for a wither skeleton skull farm. I estimate that we burned through about 8 double chests of cobble or stone. That's just over 50,000 slabs.

it's not a proper perimeter until there's nothing all the way down to bedrock

Some really nice projects we have going on, nice to see.

Ok so I made this topic for discussing some official elytra flightpath infrastructure
http://blacraft.createaforum.com/blacraft-general/nether-elytra-standardization-discussion/

This isn't about the networks just using arrows, but more about a dug out/optimized network. So there's still no problem with networks like Fiah's arrows with this proposal.

Current project: Moving gold farm portals up past y = 160 so I can move Kaktoland's Nether portals further up
