Minecraft 1.4 was moved to tomorrow. They are calling it Minecraft 1.4.1 now.

So 1.4.2 is out... But I don't think Bukkit is yet.

I tested if the landscape is chunky between 1.3 and 1.4. It doesn't seem to be the case, so I guess there won't be any large biomes this time.

But I probably should still get the map cropped and fixed in some ways.

Temporary 1.4.2 map set up.

It's not creative though.

Hey Bla, might want to restart the server to make sure the villager AI is working right. Had to kill a few using gravel (had no choice).

Looks like the villagers got killed off due to zombie sieges.

Also, one thing to note is that currently, flowerpots cause problems with the testificate pathing in that they can't path around it. It can be used to ones advantage, but it can prevent a villager from going to a door if there is a flowerpot on both sides of it. When going at it from the side at least.

Bukkit for 1.4.2 should be out soon according to a tweet. So that temporary map didn't last long I guess. :P Did get one epic cave out of it.

Anyways, I was looking at some ender farm designs and looked to find out about strongholds in blacraft, as it is in blacraft where I think it would be the most useful. Found out that Fiah drew some crude maps that pointed to a possible stronghold directly in territory I acquired a while back (either in North Kaministiquia or Mauritius).

However this started a huge debate about the end. Sorta confused as to what happened, and what I can do with the possible stronghold under my own territory.

Yqt we wait; when we organize a proper expedition we go into the strongold

I'm ok with waiting, I'm not ready to fight the ender dragon by myself. I'm just concerned over my sovereignty on the stronghold.

Map you drew ^ would be nice if you told us the exact location of the third stronghold though

Official map centered on the possible location that you marked. Ironically ended up being in the region I named after myself. XD

Heh. Maybe we can mount a digging exploration

That sounds cool. Would be a good excuse to turn mauritius from a random settlement into a city. "Site of a stronghold"

Cool. Plus that village died out due to zombie sieges plus the fact that they weren't breeding (and plus some apparent pathing issues and/or dumb villager AI). Given that the zombies can now infect villagers, we'll have to set up anti-zombie measures in Blacraft.

Well, the stronghold should at least be accessable for everybody, but you'll still have soverignity over the area,

Of course, I'm happy to allow people to use it. I'm just not sure as bla mentioned stuff about deleting the chunks, moving strongholds and stuff like that since most of them were found by using the seed. I'm taking this as an opportunity to over develop the region, and I will be  sad if it gets moved. :'(

Whatever, I don't really care about the strongholds anymore, they can stay in place. As long as we plan the expedition before going in and people don't start changing the strongholds without agreements first.
Idk what I could even do to make people have to find them legitly now and since people keep posting the maps, whatever.

or maybe we should pretend that one is not there and go look for another one.

Edit: and what? the strongholds are in triangles?

The problem with pretending things is just that it doesn't make them true so it doesn't solve any problems, it ignores them. :P

I increased view distance (number of chunks you load in each direction) from 7 to 10 and set max build height from 256 to 512, so you can try that out if you want.
Didn't set it to creative mode but if you want it I can do that.

Idk, the only way to see what the server and the lag can accept is to test it.

Idk, the only way to see what the server and the lag can accept is to test it.

The lag got much worse in 1.4.2 than it was in 1.3.2. At least with redstone. I made a simple circuit and after 30 minutes or so of having that chunk loaded my fps drops from 100 fps to 2 fps with almost no warning.

Anyways, pending if bukkit is out sometime soon, I'd like to get an expedition for the stronghold under golfe de yqt sometime next weekend?
