The tree farm at Pine Hill is very good imo. If you harvest it all, the first trees have already begun to regrow, usually, although it's best to take a break (in that break, you could harvest the other tree farms or shear the sheep for wool). You will have to replant the saplings though. But there's a public storage nearby, so you won't need to go back and forth for tools, materials and for dumping the wood. Plus there's a rail station at it.
I've stored about 400 oak wood in the collective storage. There should also be 320 oak wood in the public storage as well. Our wood levels have risen after that tree farm was built.
And no need to be impatient about the tree. Just because you can't gather 8000 wood in a day or a week, it doesn't mean we can't get it in a month or a year by wooding casually.
