adding organics
« on: July 28, 2017, 11:10:50 PM »
Hello.  We would like to be able to add organics to planets.  However when we click on Tools<Materials it only gives the options of water, silicate, carbon dioxide and hydrogen and iron.  However we have watched US2 videos on youtube and noticed that some users have the option to add organics under this menu (in addition to the materials we have listed above).  Why is this? Are they running a later version?  we understood the updates download automatically?  How can we work out which version we are running?
Many thanks for helping us.  :)

Organics was included in older versions, but has since been removed. It can still be used, but it requires code manipulation of the body file.

As a further note, the reason organics were removed in an earlier version was that they served no real purpose. They will be reintroduced once there is some kind of life simulation system implemented in the game. I don't know when that will be, but it is a planned feature.
