If you already own Universe Sandbox ², just run Steam to update to the latest version.

Or you can buy Universe Sandbox ² here:

What's new?
Alpha 16.2 is another round of bug fixes and stability improvements. We’ve fixed multiple issues with startup crashes, missing craters, and music handling. There’s also new rendering for random planets and better file tools for your simulations.

We are in the process of returning to a more regular development and release schedule. Stay tuned, we have bigger plans for Alpha 17.

I found a bug in this bug fix.

When I start US2, either from Steam or from one of the two executables, Steam never launches it, and instead just ends up "Preparing to launch Universe Sandbox2..." until the end of time unless I stop it.

I'm pretty sure the game isn't yet awesome enough to require an infinite loading time, so I'm assuming this is a bug.

No this has never happened to me with an older version of US2 or any another game on Steam.
Yes I removed all local content via Steam and reinstalled it.

Not sure I'm sure what issue you mean... what are the repro steps?

When i save a planet and replace it down there's only water now its atmosphere texture is the only other thing visible and the surface is black empty and flat .As for the other glitch when you add water and raise the level strange streaks appear on the dark side of the planet here are a few screen shots of this.

The craters look so weird.

I launched Mimas at Earth. Guess what is the main impact crater? It is the one in the top left. That's where it impacted, and the other bigger craters is where the fragments impacted. that makes no sense.

Anyway, I was expecting a little more for this update

It's called "E3 and adding more content".
