Getting sick of people asking when the next update is coming or that the previous update had no new features.

Why the heck are people voting for the creation of new issues instead of the handling of already-existing problems with the software.

They don't. What they vote for is more toys to play with. That those toys will have new flaws is kinda inevitable.
If your favorite feature is already in it and has bugs, you naturally want those bugs gone. But if what you'd like to tinker with is not yet implemented you don't have the bugs you'd want to be fixed yet.
The main problem with that is that fixing the existing bugs is often rather important to make new features work properly. Building something complex on a faulty base is never a good idea.
