time doesn't speed up

so i just bought this, and wanted to make some planets collide, but everytime i do so i can't speed the simulation up to more than around 3 hours/sec. i suspect the fact that i have an old laptop might be why i can't speed time up but if there are any fixes to this it would be most appreciated.

Sorry for the delay in my response.

By default, the simulation will only advance (the "speed" of the simulation) when it can do so safely, without making too many errors and breaking the system. You can adjust the tolerance and accuracy required, so that you can run simulations faster, but they won't be as accurate.

Click on the Sim Settings button on bottom toolbar then Show More. Here you can change Tolerance and Accuracy.
