Protoplanetary disks?

It would be pretty cool if you could have gas clouds that slowly condense into planets or even stars. I have no idea how to handle the masses of the gas clouds, and I'm guessing that it would lag quite a bit, but if the gas clouds aren't an option, perhaps generation option for a disk of asteroids or planetoids around a young star would also work.

This is a good idea, that i'm sure will be implemented. :)
But it would lag very much for most of us, with a dense protoplanetary disk.

I place 200-300 small moons around a star to try creating a solar system in a similar matter.
