Asteroids collision

When asteroids collide they should stick rather than go through one another. They should merge into one and look like multiple asteroids stuck together. When they collide they should also change shape and become like a lava rock (hot, molten lava).

I totally agree. When I collide asteroids together in orbit around a planet (which is the rather gentle clumping of asteroids into one another) huge flames and fragments get flung out at extremely high velocities for just a small bumpy collision. However this idea is totally realistic and not so CPU-intensive.
