Hi,im new to the topic and i was asking:If when asteroids collide with rocky planets lava is formed, what will happen with gaseous planets?

That asteroid will most likely leave a mark on the gas planet, similar to the Shoemaker-Levy impact on Jupiter.
But I'm not sure if Dan's working on that. He's probably doing so, since it may just include simple coding (For the impact mark)

If was wondering how the colission system will be on US3,it would look awesome if when rocky planets collide the only thing that remains is tons of floating rocks, and a giant crater on the planet.

It would basically form a hole in the cloud layer and heat up some of the liquid gas on the planet's "surface", thus creating a small flash.

I don't think anything needs to be done about asteroid-Jovian Planet collisions, since this is basically what happens in US2 now.

It's not Universe Sandbox 3, It's Universe Sandbox ²

Yes, but after that, a small storm appear at the impact position. So no, collision with gas giant is not really finished.

In my trial time (before the free time) I shot asteroids and moons at Earth and it left some kind of impact mark. I guess it already implemented.
