How about adding dark grey pixels that stand for roads? You can connect any pixel to another even with a gap if you replace that gap with a road. This can only can happen if you have over 30 pixels.
Good idea, I'll think about it. There could be different things available at different nation levels. I think it will be a little bit too hard to see roads though, and on the pixel level they might not look so good, it would be best if they had equal width, but if they turn it's not possible.
They turn like an L, not a curve.

Good, everything is correct. :)

I just don't think the idea of roads is so important in this game. But thanks for suggesting it.

Now my nation has reached 50 pixels! :) Here's my turn:

Good! I like that your nation is big, but you know what that means! WAR!

You can't declare war before our nations are at the borders of each other (remember, you can only claim pixels that are at the border of your own). :)
But I'll be looking forward to a war. >:]

Yes I know. I was just saying that you can have a war at any time.

Yes. I've updated the first message with rules about wars and alliances. My nation is bigger than yours, so you will lose in the long run if we wage a war. But if you join/make an alliance, you can get help from the other members.

Yes, because of the new inactivity rule he has two days to take his turn now. Do you think it's a fair rule?

What if someone never comes back to the game, should we then wait four days each turn? :P
He can always jump right into the game again, his nation isn't deleted.

The formula was changed during the game. In the start we divided by 10, then it was changed to 4 to allow faster growth.

But that doesn't mean that we should have different amounts. If we all changd, then they should still be the same.

Everyone before the turn used the old formula until the turn, afterwards everyone used the new formula. It probably isn't so important here in the start of the game, it's also good with some diversity in the numbers isn't it?

I don't think that would work deoxy.

If you have 15 pixels you only get like, 3 more pixels, and if you have 100 you get like only 4... It's hyperbolic, it won't work.

Here, I have 50, it's A=b/4+5 right?

Whenever I look back, I can never find anything!

Yes, you can place 14 pixels, so you have a total of 50 pixels. I always write it in the first post. :)
Map approved. Now it's Deoxy99's turn.

Just read that. So I assume if you are at borders you can take as many pixels of theirs by a=b/4+5?

Correct.
At least, correct right now. I am considering a system that would perhaps make the players prefer to expand before fighting a war. Perhaps the number should be divided by two or something when at war. Or perhaps you first turn the squares white while at war (which would harm their "pixel income", but also make it possible to retake their lost land in their turn, at least some of it).
What do you Think?

Definitley not the divide by 2, that makes the number bigger, and if you can't grow that fast, then how do you get more in the war. I kindof see what you are getting onto with the white pixels, but how does that work? I turn the pixels white, then I take them a=b/4+5? But that's how the white pixels were calculated right?

Good, Deoxy99. The update is accepted.

My turn is attached to this post. Round 6 has begun, and Naru523 has one day to take his turn.

NeutronStar, my point with the divide by two was:
X attacks Y. X has 100 pixels of land, so 100 / 4 + 5 = 30. But since X attacks, 30 is divided by two. The formula changes to (100 / 4 + 5) / 2 = 15. X may then take control of 15 of Y's pixels.
Simply said, with this rule, you take the normal number, and if you count the number of pixels you grow, you just count up by two instead of by one when you claim from an enemy nation, until you reach the allowed number of pixels.

By the other thing, I meant:
X attacks Y. X has 100 pixels of land, so 100 / 4 + 5 = 30. X attacks 20 pixels near the border. The pixels change color to white. Then X can use his rest 10 pixels allowed to either claim 10 of the white pixels (just any white pixels on the map), or X can continue to turn more of X's enemy's pixels white.
With this rule, you can only turn pixels right at your border white. You will have to claim pixels before you can move deeper into the country and turn more pixels white. I think this could add some interesting gameplay.

But I'd like to read your opinions.

Naru523's turn has expired, and has been removed from the list of active players, so Naru523 will no longer gain turns automatically. To rejoin the game, Naru523 just has to edit the map and take a turn, which Naru523 can do at any time.

Now, it's NeutronStar's turn.
