When it tries to open , the program just exits out by itself.  

I just sent you an email, but here is the solution for everyone else:


There are three things to try:

In the Universe Sandbox folder, that you can likely find here:

C:\Program Files\Universe Sandbox
or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Universe Sandbox

Trying running update.exe.

If that doesn't work, go into the Prerequisites folder and run UpdateFix.exe and then run update.exe again.

If it's still not working download the latest universe-sandbox-setup.exe and reinstall on top of the existing installation:

i didn't get to try these solutions, but what worked for me was manually running the dotNetFx40_Full_setup.
