some of the currents are slightly too curved for my taste. more straight lines and i've think we've got it

For one thing, darvinces currents are mostly backwards.

Also, kipz, the surface currents have countercurrents at the equator, so they don't cross the equator like that, nice try at deep current representation though I guess.

I just realized I did the northern hemisphere currents all wrong I was trying to mirror the hemispheres, and it was late so I wasn't really paying attention and ended up using the countercurrent by mistake. ill have to fix those when I get home in maybe an hour.

Should have remembered that east coast warm current and west coast cold current. I just mostly need to flip them.

Uuh, I left anti-aliasing on when I did the currents layer last night and did so again when editing, *facepalm* Or is it okay? Not even sure if it matters anymore since Darvince got a new computer anyway.

Not sure what the currents would look like in the sea between Himalia and Nausikkak.

Edit: Don't use this one because antialiasing.

No he locked it because I had used antialiasing by accident and was going to take a week to fix it (overexaggeration I guess), but then he let me fix it since it was my mistake anyway and I was offering to fix it myself.

everyone was waiting for pygcm but it's a pet project not a professional climate model and likely won't be realistic. we should just draw it

i also think there should be a tectonic plate layer and population density layer

the climate model might not be accurate but provided good enough method of calculation/formulae it could be a good guide
