Guess what, if I finish B or higher I get a high school credit! YAY! 7th grade, they mis placed me in Pre Algebra (8th grade version), and a few other people. We passed (7th) Pre algebra in 6th grade. and we go on to Algebra I (9th aka freshman). My friend was like, "what the heck?", and I was wondering the same. So we got swiched to Algebra I, and yeah.

9th (which is the highest obligatory class in the schools in my country, you can choose 10th).
In my country people start at school when they're 6 years old (usually).

In Italy, we don't use this grade system. We have 5 years of elementary school (i think 1-5 grade), 3 of middle school (6-8) and 5 of high school (9-13) then we have from 3 to 6 years of university depending on which faculty you chose. So I think next year I'll go to the 12th grade (I've not voted as I'm not sure).

In Poland is other grade system too

1-6 is a Basic school
7-9 this will be strange for you to understand is called "gymnasium"
10-14 we have secondary school
14-?? we got studies

In Denmark, you can start in 0th or 1st grade (usually 0th), then you go there until 9th (or sometimes 10th, which you can choose), and after that, you choose your educations (gymnasium etc.).

We start in 0th (Kindergarden at 5 or 6) then to 5th gade. After that we go to middle school (6-8), but where I go to school we have K-8 schools. Then high school (9-12), and then to college.

1-3 Primary Elementrary
4-6 Intermediate Elementrary
7-8 Middle School
9-12 High School
College

germany has a very complicated schoolsystem.

1st-4th grade is called Grundschule

after 4th grade there are 3 options where you can go depending on your skills.
Gymnasium is for the smart ones and go from 5th till 12th grade
Realschule is for the average ones and goes from 5th till 10th gade
Hauptschule is for the dumb ones and goes from 5th till 9th grade

IÂ´m in 12th grade of Gymnasium, iÂ´m a smart one.

Yes, I was thought about that in German. Your system scares me.

If I got dreams while sleeping, this would be my first nightmare, getting into the Hauptschule.

How would you get to Hauptschule anyway? You'd have to be REAL dumb, and I doubt you are.

But I'm sure that I'm not good at school. I'm not good at working under pressure, I easily get stressed, I can't ask other people if they want to be in a group with me, so I always end up being alone, I'm not good at remembering things and... I'm just not good at school.
I've made my own conspiracy about my teachers only giving me good numbers/notes/whatever because they don't want to hurt me lol. If I just could tell them that it wouldn't hurt me. And my German teacher said I was going to get the next-best note, then on the paper some days after I saw the best note, argh, it's "confuzzling".

You are wrong. It depend on the teacher too.
If the teacher donÂ´t like you and your family is not that whealthy you end often in Hauptschule, no matter how smart you really are.

Hmm, I just find it a little bit surprising that we in Europe have school systems that divide students into three groups based on skills in the smaller grades (or even other factors). I hardly can remember how I was before sixth grade, three years ago. I can remember that I did my homework, but I still wasn't good at school. I didn't work hard enough. But now I work harder. Peoples skills can change much as they grow up. I think it's too early to divide people into diffrent groups dependent on skills in the smaller grades, also about equialty.
What do you think?

I donÂ´t agree with the system, but it will not change anytime soon. In germany is a strong elitist thinking. That will not change.

In 6th grade I got C's in 7th grade i got 110% in one of my classed and now im struggling to get all A's but no C's! How could the german schools judge you like that?! BTW im entering high school (9th grade).
