Is the newest version going to incorporate Steam Workshop?

I would be really excited if user created content for Universe Sandbox can be delivered through Steam Workshop. People would be able to "subscribe" to mods, simulations, etc. Even texture packs would be pretty cool! Just an idea of course, and I'm getting a little ahead of myself probably.

TBH, I think that's a brilliant idea!

I've always been kinda disappointed in the lack of access to textures, custom simulations etc. This would be a brilliant feature for US3.

Also, it'll be interesting adding some kinda mod support.

Yeah, everything from texture to simulations. Plus the support implementation would most likely be Steam Forums, however, I like this site as well.

Great idea. I would disappointed if this wasn't implemented.

Interesting idea and something we're considering... even if we don't use Steam Workshop, we plan to implement something similar.

Because, what about the people that have non-steam versions, right. Something that would work across steam and non-steam versions would be the go.

Well, in Skyrim you don't need the Steam Workshop in order to install and play mods/texturepacks and the likes. You can do it manually if you so desire.

Steam workshop would be really nice however :)
